Spoil Your Furry Friend With a Pet Treat This Valentine's Day
Valentine's Day allows you to shower your pet with even more adoration! While your pet cannot have chocolate, there are many other safe pet treats you can share with them.
#1: Heart-shaped box of assorted treats
Fill a heart-shaped box with delicious, pet-safe goodies. Add bite-size treats, small pieces of fresh fruits and veggies, chunks of cheese, and bites of lean meat. Good treat options include apples, bananas, melons, green beans, carrots, bell peppers, tuna, and turkey breast.
#2: Peanut butter-covered strawberries
Skip the toxicity-causing chocolate coating on juicy strawberries and slather them with xylitol-free peanut butter instead. Berries are rich in vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants, plus they are a great source of fiber.
#3: Conversation heart cookies
Make heart-shaped cookies using your favorite treat recipe, and then use xylitol-free peanut butter or plain greek yogurt in a piping bag to write messages to your furry pal, such as: I chew-s you, Puppy luv, Good dog, You're purr-fect, Friends fur-ever, I ruff you.
